Since 1957, Vermeiren is a Belgian wheelchair manufacturer, specialized in wheelchairs, beds, comfort chairs and other medical equipment that accompanies a user in maintaining its autonomy and mobility.

Today, Vermeiren is a group of more than 800 employees with subsidiaries in Europe and Asia and products sold in more than 50 countries worldwide.

In 2005, a milestone was set by producing the first Vermeiren wheelchair in Suzhou, China. Due to a relocation project, Vermeiren has shown the commitment with a newly built factory of 25.000m² which was inaugurated on April 10, 2018.

The new plant incorporates an R&D department, the newest technology of welding robots, testing facilities, wheel production, plastic injection, furnishing and several assembly lines able to manufacture products following world standards.

This factory is today the most modern one in the Vermeiren Group. It complies with the latest environmental requirements and is even using heat pumps as alternative heating system.
